At the end of March, Professor Pietro Valdastri (director of StormLab), Dr Zhiqiang Zhang (University Academic Fellow), and Dr James Chandler (StormLab Research Fellow) travelled to Tianjin on the northern coast of China to meet with project partners from Tianjin University. The trip facilitated meetings with academic and clinical partners working under the “Ultra-low-cost endoscopy for gastric cancer screening in rural China” grant (EPSRC – EP/P027938/1) to discuss progress with the HydroJet and BellowScope platforms, and to organise the next stages of development and testing with these projects.
The UK team were treated to fantastic hospitality by our Chinese partners, and will be returning to China at the end of 2018.
